Narrabri is a town in the northern parts of New South Wales and it is situated on the junction of the Kamilaroi Highwar and the Newell Highway . It has a population of just over 6,234 and before the Europeans arrived in the early 1800s Narrabri and the surrounding areas was the home of the Kamilaroi people who still constitute a significant faction of the local population.
