Horsham is the most populous city of the Wimmera region and is located close to the Western Highway. It has a population of just over 13,200 and the main industries are related to the production of wheat and wool. Horsham won Autralia's tidiest town in 2001. It may not be that close to Melbourne, but the Victorian capital is definately withing driving range so you can rent a car in Horsham and drive the 303 km to Melbourne if you make it a day trip.
